Mammomat Inspiration, the digital mammography platformdesign by Siemens and designaffairs, has received the iF Product Design Award 2009 and the red dot award:product design 2009.

The device for the early detection of breast cancer shows that ease of use, high functionality, and unique design come together beautifully in a single engineering product.

Siemens Healthcare and designaffairs jointly designed the Mammonat Inspiration, the first mammography system to incorporate the MoodLight function. MoodLight is an LED glass panel that can be illuminated with freely selectable colors, producing a comfortable, relaxing effect on the patient.

A total of 802 awards were presented among the 2808 applicants from 39 countries. With more than 11 000 submissions from 61 countries, the red dot design award is one of the largest design award worldwide.
